Kaiku Health, together with Oulu University Hospital and Vaasa Central Hospital, presents research at the virtual ESMO Congress 2021. The research investigates how ePRO follow-up affects patient care of colorectal cancer patients receiving oxaliplatin-based adjuvant chemotherapy.
According to the results, ePRO follow-up was found to be good with 98% of the patients suggesting that the use of the platform was easy and 86% felt that it improved their cancer care. The ePRO follow-up detects evolving neuropathy earlier enhancing symptom management without compromising chemotherapy dose intensity, thus improving the quality of cancer care.
