Netmedi, the provider of Kaiku® Health digital service, makes ICHOM’s globally standardized sets of outcomes, Standard Sets, available in Kaiku® Health for all partner clinics. Kaiku® Health follows patients’ progress throughout cancer treatment and recovery by tracking adverse effects and critical values. Integration of ICHOM Standard Sets to Kaiku® Health allows comparison of treatment outcomes between health care centers internationally. Netmedi is the first ICHOM certified supplier in Finland.
ICHOM (International Consortium for Health Outcomes Measurement) is a non-profit organization aiming to develop globally standardized sets of outcomes for wide array of diseases. Kaiku® Health offers partner health care centers ICHOM’s Standard Set for prostate, breast, lung, and colorectal cancer.
ICHOM’s sets include parameters monitored by the clinic, as well as patient-reported outcomes (PRO). ICHOM Standard Sets have been developed in close collaboration with the world’s leading cancer centers. These clinics have the highest CCC-rating and include MD Anderson Cancer Center, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and Mayo Clinic. In Europe, experts of the noted prostate cancer center Martini-Klinik have actively taken part in the development process of ICHOM’s Standard Set for localized prostate cancer.
Netmedi’s partner clinics can use ICHOM’s Standard Sets in Kaiku® Health as they are defined or develop their own outcome models based on ICHOM’s Standard Sets. By following the adverse effects and reported values, Kaiku® Health is able to provide individual guidance for the patient treatment and recovery process.
