Kaiku Health to present research at ESMO 2020

Kaiku Health will present two scientific abstracts at the ESMO Virtual Congress 2020. The research has been conducted in collaboration with Oulu University Hospital and it investigates combining machine learning, patient-reported symptom data and lab measurements to analyse treatment response and predict the onset of immune-related adverse events in immune checkpoint inhibitor therapies.

The two research abstracts presented at ESMO 2020 include:

1.“Predicting the onset of immune-related adverse events (irAEs) in immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) therapies using a machine learning (ML) model trained with electronic patient-reported outcomes (ePROs) and lab measurements

First author: Sanna Iivanainen (Oulu University Hospital)

Poster #: 1841P

2.“A combination model of electronic patient-reported outcomes (ePROs) and lab measurements in prediction of immune related adverse events (irAEs) and treatment response of immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) therapies”

First author: Sanna Iivanainen (Oulu University Hospital)

Poster #: 1876P

The posters will be presented at the ESMO Virtual Congress 2020 from September 17th to September 21st on the Congress platform. The congress is one of the leading global events in the field of oncology, organised by the European Society for Medical Oncology.
