Multiple myeloma

Kaiku Health automates the follow-up of multiple myeloma patients. The follow-up program collects patient-reported symptoms, quality of life, and generic health metrics such as weight and blood pressure. Patients receive automatic reminders according to the protocol.

Follow-up program

The follow-up program for multiple myeloma (MM) has been built using validated international instruments and questionnaires as well as hospital specific contents.

The Kaiku Health follow-up program of Multiple Myeloma includes:

  • Symptom tracking algorithm (covering most common symptoms, built in collaboration with advisory board)
  • Quality of life (EORTC QLQ-C30 or EORTC QLQ-MY20)
  • Weight, blood pressure and pulse reporting

Alarm algorithm

Patient-reported health data is collected, stored and visualized in Kaiku Health for both patients and the care team. Kaiku Health highlights and alarms the care team of any severe symptoms and changes in patients’ well-being. The alarm algorithm has been built according to the model set by leading researchers and cancer care organizations.
