Kaiku Health automates the follow-up of patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) in both localized and advanced prostate cancer. In addition to PROM data, patient's PSA data is also visualized through an integration to laboratory system. Our dashboard filters patients based on their symptoms, and visualizes the subscores of follow-up questionnaires.
Follow-up based on international standards
Kaiku Health follows the International Consortium for Health Outcomes Measurement’s (ICHOM) standard set for localized and advanced prostate cancer follow-up.
Besides the ICHOM standard sets, we have designed dynamic and adaptive follow-up modules for prostate cancer patients treated with:
- Proton therapy
- Systemic therapy
- Radio-isotope treatments
- Hormonal therapies
These modules are available for both routine care and research setting.
Enhanced symptom tracking through web-based system can bring a metastatic prostate cancer patient the survival benefit of 5,2 months (Basch et. al, 2017).
Automated PSA follow-up
Kaiku Health can be integrated to the hospital’s laboratory system in order to automate the delivery of PSA results for patients. Automated PSA follow-up includes following features:
- Managing PSA risk levels of individual patients
- SMS reminders for patients to take PSA tests
- Automated delivery of PSA results within risk limits via SMS – directly to patient’s phone
- In case PSA levels exceed the risk limits, clinical staff is alarmed
- Dashboard to follow the progress of PSA results
Kaiku Health follows the RTOG-ASTRO Phoenix definition
